Our Breast Health

Many African American women are diagnosed at a later stage when tumors are larger and have spread to other parts of the body.

Therefore, getting women in earlier for first time screenings and annual mammograms, raising awareness through outreach education in the community, and on-going collaboration with other community groups is a primary focus of our program. The California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) has joined a host of dedicated programs and projects in the San Francisco community that are committed to reducing breast cancer and its devastation. NCBW-SF is proud and honored to have a partnership with CPMC and assist them in their commitment to the African American community.
